VALLEY OF THE GODS
northern india, spiti valley
Bordering Tibet, in the North of India lies Spiti Valley. Cut off from the world for up to 8 months of the year due to winter weather, this glacial valley that falls in the rain shadow of the Himalayas, creates a "bleak high-altitude desert that inspired Rudyard Kipling to proclaim, 'Surely the gods live here, this is no place for men.'"
With awe inspiring valleys, mountains and rivers with buddhist monasteries or gompas spread throughout the region, this is truly a place for the gods. The valley has the power to humble any man.
